Inventory

Rosen Systems, Inc. appraises company inventories of all types across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America, and Europe. Appraisers are certified by the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (A.M.E.A.). Assignments include distributorships, manufacturing plants (raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods), chemical plants, equipment rental facilities, metal service centers, etc. Our appraisers have a deep understanding of the flow of materials from raw material to work-in-process to finished goods including obsolete/slow moving inventory analysis.

Our appraisal process includes an on-site inspection and meetings with company personnel in order that we may understand all aspects of their business including who their customers are, vendors, competitors, sales and income history, overall market conditions, etc. Essentially, we attempt to obtain as much information as possible about the company as we can. While we do not perform a complete physical inventory, we do obtain cost inventory reports from the company and we may spot check selected items for accuracy. Most inventory appraisals are performed for lending purposes typically under Auction Value and/or Orderly Liquidation Value. Having been in the auction business since 1917, Rosen Systems, Inc. has a deep understanding of the process and what occurs in the event of a liquidation of a company.

All of our assignments are completed and presented in compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
